Build/Release Engineer
FULL TIME, EXEMPT
HYBRID ROLE, BASED IN GREATER ROCHESTER, NY

We are looking for a proactive, energetic, and accuracy minded individual to manage the build and release process and collaborate with our team of engineers.
OPPORTUNITY AT A GLANCE:
In this position you’ll be working alongside other engineering professionals. Your day-to-day will consist of collaborating with others at ZKX Solutions to build, document, and enhance our software products and implementations.
Much of your time will be spent ensuring build and development requirements are maintained, as well as release schedules. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving build, continuous integration, development and test infrastructures. This position requires problem solving as needed, the ability to manage his/her own time and product schedules and the ability to recognize escalation points for various issues. This position requires the ability to communicate and work with others within the Engineering organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the build and release process for multiple products on several platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure to produce automated, repeatable artifacts.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize build, test, and deployment processes.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- UNIX Shell scripting
- Experience with C++ Linux build systems
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Jenkins plugins and best practices
- Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (GIT) and workflows
- Familiarity and understanding of distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn independently and pick up on new ideas
- Experience working with software development issue tracking and collaboration tools, such as Phabricator
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE PREFERRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Experience working in an Agile Project Management Framework
- Implementation of common DevSecOps (development, security, and operations) for software projects
- Experience working in a CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous development) environment.

- This position may require occasional extended work hours to meet project/release goals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The employee must be able to work on a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
- This is a hands-on engineering position requiring the ability to occasionally, and for extended periods of time, stand, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, hear, have visual acuity, and have manual dexterity (use of fingers for fine activities) due to the nature of the complex array of equipment and products.

Build/Release Engineer: Hiring Range $69,667 – $80,350

Software Test Engineer
FULL TIME, EXEMPT

OPPORTUNITY AT A GLANCE:
In this position you’ll be working alongside other engineering professionals. Your day-to-day will consist of collaborating with others at REDCOM to validate our software products and implementations.
Much of your time will be spent developing and executing test plans, test scripts and test methodologies to ensure thorough testing takes place for meeting all designated software specifications and compliance. This position requires problem solving skills, the ability to manage his/her own time and product schedules and the ability to recognize escalation points for various issues. This position requires the ability to communicate and work with others within the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Test specified product functionality, interoperability, and / or product certification.
• Develop, document, and execute test cases for product functionality.
• Perform regression testing on product functionality and bug fixes to ensure the product is working properly.
• Set-up and maintain test environments.
• Work closely with the development team, such as participating in SCRUM meetings, and follow the CI/CD process.
• Work with the appropriate team members to discover, analyze, and troubleshoot defects.
• Will be required to travel to setup, perform, and provide technical assistance for demos.
• Ability to learn independently and pick up skills/ideas quickly on their own.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Proficient in standard software test practices and design methodologies
• Experience testing software applications in one or more of the following environments: Windows, Linux, Android
• Hands-on Experience with JMeter, Postman, Jenkins
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ARE PREFERRED TO FULFILL THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software product life cycles
• Basic understanding of encryption and/or cryptography
• Familiarity with authentication products and protocols
• Basic knowledge of software source control (e.g. GIT)
• Basic knowledge of databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Espresso Android Automation tool
• Experience executing test cases for product security and performance

Senior Test Engineer: Hiring Range $74,600 – $82,500
